VERSE:
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord id th strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid.
” PSALMS 27:1
REFLECTION:
My first time to be joining evangelism missionary work in a jewish area I was very nervous of the anticipated (must admit) potential disputes and debates. I befriended the local homeless collaborating with his “Big Issue” mag. and handing out my christian tracks/leaflet at the same time, until this incessant young atheist seemingly interested with the tracks I’ve handed out as he briefly glanced through it but as if removing a gun out from his pocket he returned the track at his arm length literally just an inch away from my face. Staring intently at his eyes I was oblivious of what he said, I just directed my hand skyward and managed to shifted his gaze to it and said ” Forget why it looks blue or how old is but where were you when this vastness founded?” Ofcourse, he shunned me off with that condemning look but in a fleeting iota of time captured in every etched of his face the cinematic awe and wonderment.
Oh wait, stand corrected. Well, I don’t call him an atheist then. I think if you believe in the awe and the wonder and the mystery, then that is what God is.”
When you take a look at who God is, and realize how powerful and how amazing He is, you then humbled that really isn’t anything the enemy can do to bring you down. God is the source of your salvation and your eternal security. Who or what can defeat that? Absolutely no one and nothing can! God is the ultimate light of your life; no form of darkness can prevail in the prsence of God. Take courage as you dwell on these facts. God is always with you.
PRAYER:
DEAR ABBA FATHER, WHEN I REFLECT ON YOUR POWER AND ON YOUR MIGHTINESS, CONFIDENCE RISES WITHIN ME. THESE CHALLENGES AND STRESSFUL SITUATIONS I’M CURRENTLY FACING AND WILL BE ENCOUNTERING MAY BRING ME DOWN BUT I TAKE COURAGE AND BE COMFORTED AS I DWELL ON THE FACT THAT YOU NEVER LEAVE NOR FORSAKE US …SINCE YOU ARE ALWAYS WITH ME, NOTHING CAN EVER STAND AGAINST ME AND PREVAIL. THANK YOU FOR THIS BOLDNESS, OH LORD. IN JESUS NAME, I PRAY.
AMEN.
