Tickles my humble soul every time I passed by misty pavement ornamented with ambriosial Lavender bushes and this ,thus, too provoke the feisty writer and sermons the chinese proverb inside me saying, “The palest ink is better than the best memory” as gradually unfogging the train entrants the flirty cottonseed ballerina dancing gracefully on my sight demanding my palm as its dancefloor.
God has again graced His revelation unto me.
And so they say, Writers by very nature, are loners (literally at this moment, I am!!!) who find solace, companionship and inspiration in the written word. The Bible (the greatest book ever written, IMO) offers words of inspiration to lone writers who are struggling with their career choice, struggling with writers block, struggling with change, deadlines or just struggling in general.
These are a few of my favorite inspirational Bible verses that have encouraged me during times of writing struggles.
Inspirational Bible Verse When Doubting Writing Ability
I had some early successes in the beginning of my writing career, then came a few rejections. I took the rejections personally and began to doubt my ability to write. I overcame those doubts, kept writing and honing my writing skills with the inspiration of several Bible verses which promise us that God will bless the work of our hands. One such inspirational Bible verse for me during times of doubting my writing ability is Deuteronomy 28:12 – The Lord shall open unto thee His good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
Bible Verse To Inspire During Times Of Change
One thing that remains constant is change. The world of writing is always changing and as writers, we must adapt our writing style to met the client’s needs. Some of those changes which involve technology, like the recent changes in Google listings, often leave an old school, technologically challenged gal like myself scratching my head. During times of challenging changes, I turn to Bible verses to inspire me and encourage me. One inspirational verse which never fails me is Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.
Bible Verses To Overcome Writer’s Block
Most of the time, writers are filled with story titles and writing ideas, but then there are those days (weeks, months) when we draw a blank and have nothing to write about. During those times when I find myself staring at a blank computer screen with nothing to write to about, I meditate on the Bible verses which tell the story of how God gave Jacob one idea about sticks from poplar, hazel and chesnut trees, which made Jacob a very wealthy cattle rancher. I know I am just one idea away from overcoming writer’s block and writing a prize winning story. That inspirational Bible story can be found in Genesis 30:37-43 and is well worth the read to overcome writer’s block.
Bible Is A Writer’s Inspiration
The Bible itself is a writer’s inspiration; a composite of 66 books spanning the gamut of subject matter, author’s styles, education and backgrounds. All authors of the Bible’s books received their inspiration from the same source, God, who even had a ‘hand’ in writing the Bible, literally. Daniel 5:5 tells the story of how fingers of a man’s hand appeared and wrote a message on the wall. Those writing fingers belonged to The Author of Authors, God.

A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. …

Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit. On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation. The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church. Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up. …

Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed. …
